Engr. Md. Sabbir Uddin Khan

CEO

Engr. Md. Sabbir Uddin Khan is the CEO and founder of The Next Generation Design. He holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and has served in various audit and engineering firms, gaining extensive expertise in structural analysis, building audits, and solution development.

He has significant experience in existing building assessments, including both preliminary and detailed engineering inspections (DEA). His work has often involved identifying and implementing remediation strategies such as retrofitting, where required. He has assessed numerous high-rise ready-made garments (RMG) factories and proposed safety and structural solutions in line with ACCORD and Alliance requirements.

In addition to audit-based work, Engr. Sabbir has been involved in the design of numerous new RCC and steel structures. His broad and progressive engineering background has equipped him with strong relationship management skills and the ability to lead and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

He is well-versed in civil engineering principles and structural design codes and is known for his ability to perform under pressure, embrace challenges, and lead teams with a high level of motivation and commitment.

In 2017, he established The Next Generation Design, which has since grown into a trusted service provider in the civil engineering sector, built on the collective experience and dedication of its team.

Engr. Md. Abdul Matin, FIEB

With over 40 years of distinguished experience, Engineer Md. Abdul Matin is a seasoned civil engineering professional who earned his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the prestigious Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1976. Throughout his extensive career, he has successfully led and delivered numerous government, semi-government, and private sector projects, both in Bangladesh and overseas, including collaborations with UNICEF and other international organizations.

As a Managing Partner, CEO, and Team Leader, Engr. Matin has spearheaded projects across a wide range of domains, including:

Engr. Mithail Afrige Chowdhury is an accomplished civil and structural engineer with over 13 years of professional experience across national and multinational organizations in Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the UAE. He earned his B.Sc. in Engineering in 2004 and has built a diverse career in telecommunications, real estate, industrial construction, and consulting services.

  Served from September 2005 to September 2006 in Kabul and Samangan, collaborating with the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation & Development (MRRD) on rural infrastructure and micro-hydro projects.

Engr. Md. Imam Hossain

Senior Structural Engineer

Md. Imam Hossain joined as a Lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering on October, 2015. He completed his B. Sc. Engineering degree (securing 1st position) from UAP in October.

He has vast knowledge in Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC). And he has many experience in Detail Engineering Assessment (DEA), and many critical Building design. Moreover, he did DEA of East West University.

Now he is lecturer in European University of Bangladesh and he is doing M.Sc. Program in MIST in Structural Field and he is working as a Senior Auditor in The Next Generation Design

Engr. Md. Nazmul Alam Lecturer, Dept. of Civil (UAP)

Senior Structural Engineer

Md. Nazmul Alam joined as a Lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering on October, 2015. He completed his B. Sc. Engineering degree (securing 1st position) from UAP in October, 2011 and was awarded Chancellor’s Gold Medal for his excellent academic result in undergraduate level. He did his undergraduate thesis on Earthquake Concern for Masonry Building and Soft Soil.

At present, he is also pursuing M. Sc. on Structural Engineering at BUET. He has already completed theory courses and working on his thesis on Nonlinear Behaviour of RC Flat Plate and Shear Wall Joint Interaction and Design.

Before joining UAP, Mr. Nazmul worked as a lecturer at the department of civil engineering at European University of Bangladesh from May 2015 to September 2015. He worked as a teaching assistant at UAP for the semester of Fall 2011.

Mr. Nazmul also has about two years’ professional experience as a structural engineer with a consultancy firm named Engineering and Resource Associates Limited (ERA). His field of experience therein involves analysis and design of RC and steel buildings, Detail Engineering Assessment (DEA) and Retrofitting of Existing Ready Made Garments (RMG) Buildings, review of design of RC and steel buildings and extensive research-based-study on RCC and Steel related codes, standards and specifications.

His research interest is in the field of Structural Engineering which includes Structural Dynamics, Earthquake Engineering, Seismic Retrofitting and Rehabilitation, Tall Building, Soil Structure Interaction, Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis and Advanced Engineering Materials.

Engr. Mostakin Alom

Sr. Design Engineer

He is Expert in Different Load Calculation analysis and design, and he has experience in Estimation, BOQ, Procurement, Tender Processing, etc. Since 2012 to 2025 he was served in BD Technology as a Sr. Structural Engineer. Now he is working with The Next Generation Design as a Senior Structural Engineer.

Engr. Pabitra Chandra Paul, (KUET) M/24388

Technical Head (CIVIL)

Mr. Pabitra completed his B.Sc. Program from KUET in 2007. He has more than 10 years’ experience in Civil Engineering Field. At the Beginning of his career he joined in Homen Joy Holdings Ltd as a Structural Engineer, then he joined Rupayan Housing Estate Ltd as a design coordinator & Project Management. Then he worked in Bashari Consortium Ltd. In this time Period he did many individual consultancy, he designed more than 50 high rise building with supervision. Now he is the Technical Head (Civil) of THE NEXT GENERATION DESIGN.

Architect Shamim Azad

Senior Architect

Shamim Azad is a highly skilled and experienced architect. He obtained his degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and is a full member of the Institution of Architects of Bangladesh (IAB). For over12 years, Shamim has dedicated his career to the architecture industry. His main expertise lies in designing high-rise buildings for both residential and commercial purposes. He is particularly proficient in designing large industrial buildings and creating industrial masterplans. Additionally, Shamim possesses a strong knowledge of technical and construction details. He is also an expert in interior design, complex 3D modelling, rendering, and the latest advancements in virtual reality technology. Architect Mahmudul Alam Rashed

Mahmudul Alam Rashed is an enthusiast, energetic and skilled architect with an experience of more than 12 years in the professional field. He is a member of Institute of Architects Bangladesh and has keen knowledge on wide range of projects both exterior and interior as well as industrial and commercial developments. He is a very good team player and has the ability to lead a team and coordinate with clients, engineers and also with on field workers. His expertise is on design planning and coordination. He has strong efficiency on Autocad, sketch up, Revit Architecture, Lumion, Enscape, Vray and Adobe creative software’s for creating design and 3d visualization. He also has experience on various large scale master planning projects.

Engr. Sahinuzzaman

Senior Electrical Engineer

Mr. Sahinuzzaman is a Senior Auditor of The Next Generation Design. He completed his B.Sc. in Engineering (Electrical) from UAP in 2012. He has 05 years working experience Electrical Auditing. He completed more the 40 factories Electrical Safety Assessment in RMG section as a Lead Auditor. He expends most of his service time in Electrical Safety Assessment. At the Beginning of his career he worked in Chartered Engineers & Advanced Management Ltd as an Electrical Engineer, after that he worked in BD Technology as an Electrical Safety Engineer, now he is working with The Next Generation Design as a Senior Electrical Engineer.

Engr. Mohammad Sohel Rana

Electrical Engineer

He is expert in Electrical Single Line Diagram (SLD) as per Accord, Alliance and ILO Standard, Electrical Layout Plan, Load Calculation, Substation Drawing, Rectification work and Supervision, Electrical Earthing Diagram, Power Distribution Panel Board, Designing Cable/ BBT route & riser diagram and distribution system.

Engr. Md. Tanveer Rahman,

Electrical Engineer

Tanveer Rahman is an Electrical and Electronics Engineer of The Next Generation Design. He completed his B.Sc. in Engineering (EEE) from AIUB in 2013. He has more than 4 years working experienced in BD Technology as an Electrical Safety Engineer of RMG factory building. He also worked in SPLPower Ltd as an Electrical safety Engineer. He researched on “Hybrid Photovoltaic Cell”.

Engr. Mushfiqur Rahman

Electrical Engineer

Engineer Mushfiqur Rahman attended with The Next Generation Design as an Electrical Safety Engineer from 1st April 2017. He has working experience in multinational company “The Merchants Ltd” as a Maintenance Engineer. He also worked in “Cristal Future Venture Ltd” as a system Engineer then RF Engineer. He is expert in BTS installing, Testing and survey, Network Quality Test. He can operate Cast Polypropylene machine. His working experience is 4 years. Mr. Rahman completed his B.Sc. from AIUB in Electrical and Electronic Engineer.
